Arriving at First Pres

Finding your way

Park in any available church parking lot and enter through the large wooden doors facing Murchison Drive. Someone will be happy to welcome you and help you find your way.

Worship takes place in our sanctuary, completed in 1960 with the artistic influence of Southwestern artist Tom Lea.

A small tip

Visiting with young children? Arriving about 10 minutes early gives us time to help you with check-in and answer your questions.

Sunday morning

What to expect in worship

Our intergenerational worship brings together music, prayer, Scripture, and a thoughtful, biblically grounded message. You can participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.

Music, prayer & reflection

Worship includes congregational singing, prayer, Scripture, and a sermon that invites reflection, hope, and faithful living.

Communion

We usually celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of church membership or faith background.

Visiting with children

Children are a cherished part of our church family. Here's what families can expect on Sunday mornings.

PreK and younger

Nursery care is available 9–11 a.m. for infants through PreK. Older children are also welcome during the 9–10 a.m. Bible study hour. During worship, little ones can join Children's Church before heading to the nursery until parents pick them up after the service.

Kindergarten–4th grade

Children begin worship with their families, then head to Thesbyterians, our theater-based Sunday school, after Children's Church. They usually return to the sanctuary around announcements.

Youth group · Grades 5–12

Meets every other Sunday for about an hour after worship, upstairs in the middle school.
