Missions & Outreach
Faith takes shape in relationships: learning from our neighbors, serving alongside partners, and caring for the community we share.
At First Pres, we understand mission as a partnership. We seek to engage with God’s work locally and beyond through relationships rooted in faith, learning, and mutual support. Our congregation, school, and wider community each have gifts to offer.
Caring for Our Neighbors
Project Vida
Our church’s planning materials describe support for Project Vida through initiatives such as Blankets and Bedsheets and the seasonal Angel Tree.
Downtown Church Coalition
Working alongside other congregations to respond to the needs of people experiencing homelessness.
Borderland Partnerships
Tres Rios Border Foundation
Supporting borderland ministries, including services for migrants and opportunities to learn about life and needs on both sides of the border.
Learning and the Arts
First Presbyterian Church & School
Our church’s commitment to children and families includes a school community centered on relationships, inquiry, and meaningful learning.
Kids-N-Co, Youth Jazz & Scouts
Our community relationships include Kids-N-Co, the El Paso Youth Jazz Ensemble, and Scout Troop 2, supporting opportunities for young people to learn, create, and belong.
Care Beyond El Paso
Wider Mission
The church’s planning materials also describe support for people engaged in overseas mission work and other forms of international service.
